A white, off-duty St. Louis police officer shot and killed a black 18-year-old on Wednesday night, provoking angry demonstrations. The St. Louis police department says the teen, whom relatives identified as Vonderrick Myers Jr., fired at the officer, who responded with a volley of 17 shots.
